About

Building Trailers isnt "Rocket Science" well I should know. I was apprenticed at the Rocket Propulsion Establishment, Westcott , Bucks. as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

I gained my Private Pilots Licence at Booker Aerodrome in 1978 and logged close to 350 hours on Aircraft as diverse as Cessna 150,s to Tiger Moths, Pitts Specials, etc with lots of Microlights and a Powered Parachute ( the first in the UK ) in between.

I gained my RAC Class A Racing Drivers Licence in 1989 racing in my own design of FORMULA Vee Racing Car The "VIXEN" before building several other F/Vees.

A spell building CATERHAM Road and Race cars followed, before joining Blue Coral PORSCHE Racing team from 1995 to 1999.

In 2001 having bought the first of several Mercedes Benz SMART CARS and my first Coachbuilt Motorhome, I concieved a dedicated 'Forwards Loading' trailer built exclusivley the carry a MERCEDES SMART CAR, and the "ORIGINAL BANTAM SMART CAR TRAILER" was born. Since launching the product into the market in May/June 2002, close to 1200 Bantam Trailers of various types are in daily use, including licence built models in the USA and Latvia, and sales to Japan too. In 2005 HAYNES MANUALS featured the BANTAM SMART CAR TRAILER on the front cover of it TRAILER MANUAL.
